On June 10th twenty members went on our ‘Summer’ Outing to Dobbies Garden Centre at Barlborough.  It was a warm and pleasant afternoon, and we enjoyed browsing round the shops, plant section, etc.


Unfortunately our journey back was quite scary coming through the thunder storm and flash floods.  Our grateful thanks went to David, our driver, for getting us safely back to Stannington.  Our next meeting on July 8th is entitled ‘Favourite Things’ so bring along your recipes, poems, ornaments, holiday memories, etc.  Do Come along!
