The Chapel Gardens

gardensYou will have noticed that the chapel graveyard has been kept extremely neat and tidy over recent years. This is due to dedicated efforts put in by a small group of retired members. When they took over, a large area to the right hand side of the path was a jungle. These people have worked tirelessly to return this resting place to a cared for garden. The garden of rest, the borders, rows of new graves and old graves not tended by families all need attention.

Nowadays, 20 years on, we need some help. Sweeping, raking, burning, tidying are the kind of tasks we need help with. Surely there must be one or two friends with a love of Underbank Chapel who would like to join us for an hour or so on Friday mornings. Geoff would be pleased to discuss this with you,  and you do not need to be a chapel member - just a lover of countryside, garden, heritage and community.
