On a hot, sunny Sunday afternoon, 23rd May 2010, we celebrated our Anniversary Service, conducted by Rev. Margaret Kirk. Thank you for a lovely service Margaret. It was so fitting to think of the many who had filled this beautiful old chapel in the past. So much history! Special mention was given to Rev. Dr. Phillip N. Tindall who had a ten year ministry here from 1942 to 1952, and to those friends we have lost during the last year.
The chapel was full. Imogen opened our service by lighting the chalice. Barbara Laycock read from Corinthians chapter 12. Long standing friends Jean Jenkins and Sandra Warr thrilled us with their wonderful duets. The organ music was provided by Dorothy Hampson and Joan Helliwell.
Huge thanks to everyone involved in preparing the excellent food. A wonderful tradition even though there is a very different format.
